I am a graduate student in the W.A. Franke College of Forestry & Conservation at the University of Montana and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Montana Climate Office.
Broadly, I study Earth and Environmental Systems with a focus on computation and AI/ML modeling. My research is largely focused on climate and hydrological modeling. I have experience researching seasonal snowpack in the western United States, modeling Greenland Ice Sheet retreat using geochronological and paleoclimate markers, and studying shifting climate patterns in Glacier National Park using in situ measurements.
As an educator, I am devoted to modern pedagogical practices.
Since February of 2023, I have worked as the Student Assistant in the Office of the President of the University of Montana. In this role, I have supported President Office operations and University leadership through conducting administrative tasks, drafting communications, compiling reports, completing research projects, and assisting in hosting donors, alums, and elected officials at President's Office events.
In addition to my role in the President's Office, I have served as the Treasurer of four different student organizations on campus, fostering a sense of community, supporting professional development, and ensuring the organizations had the resources to function. As the Treasurer of the Foresters' Ball, I managed over $100,000 in assets, generated a gross revenue of over $50,000 from fundraising, ticket sales, and merchandise sales, and awarded over $30,000 in student scholarships to over 40 students.
I have also served on the Search Committee for the Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the University of Montana, the Scholarship Review Committee for the Davidsons Honor College Presidential, Provost, and Dean's Leadership Scholarships, and as a Reviewer for the University of Montana Conference on Undergraduate Research (UMCUR).
